Junior Financial Analyst - Financial Reporting

About the role

Holman is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support its financial reporting function. You will work closely with senior finance staff to analyze performance, prepare internal reports, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements. This is an entry‑level position ideal for candidates pursuing a CPA designation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and report on key performance indicators to assess business health.
• Prepare periodic internal supplemental reports for management decision‑making.
• Research, analyze, and record accounting transactions, including journal entries.
• Participate in month‑end activities, including journal entry preparation and issue investigation.
• Conduct variance analysis of actuals versus budgets and reforecasts on a monthly basis.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and evaluate reserve balances.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year‑end financial statements, cash flow, and audit testing procedures.
• Perform periodic audits for clients or stakeholders and communicate results.
• Research policies to ensure compliance with ASPE and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or interested in a CPA designation.
• University degree in Business or Accounting.
• Strong analytical, research, and reporting abilities.
• Ability to interact with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook).
