Junior Designer / Concept Artist

About the role

As a Junior Designer/Concept Artist you will join ICON Creative Studio’s creative team to help shape the visual identity of new series. You will design characters, environments and storyboards that support the narrative and bring imaginative worlds to life.

Key responsibilities

• Develop unique character designs that match the show’s aesthetic and story.
• Collaborate with animation and art teams to ensure designs are animation‑ready.
• Create illustrated environments that fit the visual style of the series.
• Define mood, tone and atmosphere for different settings.
• Produce visual development art that communicates narrative concepts.
• Present and iterate on design concepts based on feedback.

Required profile

• Strong foundational skills in drawing, painting, colour theory and composition.
• Portfolio demonstrating character, environment or visual development work.
• Ability to take direction, iterate quickly and incorporate feedback.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within a creative team.
• Organizational skills to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of animation pipelines or experience in an animation environment is a plus.
• Proactive, curious mindset eager to learn under senior guidance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard digital art tools such as Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Procreate or similar drawing applications.
