Junior Articling Accountant – Tax Specialist

Main Responsibilities

• Develop technical expertise in corporate income tax compliance and tax accounting.
• Conduct in-depth tax research and draft technical reports, summaries, and client presentations.
• Apply GAAP principles, the US Internal Revenue Code, and bilateral tax treaties to diverse client files.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, including file creation and data analysis.
• Perform financial data analysis, identify anomalies, establish charts of accounts, and prepare journal entries.
• Calculate tax liabilities and prepare tax returns for various types of entities.
• Collaborate with the client engagement team to build strong professional relationships and improve internal workflows using advanced software and systems.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration (specialization in Accounting or Finance preferred).
• Currently pursuing or committed to obtaining the US CPA designation.
• Proven prior experience in accounting or taxation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
