About the role
The London Training Centre is seeking a dedicated Job Counsellor to support clients in overcoming employment barriers. You will provide career guidance, job‑search assistance and liaise with community partners to connect individuals with suitable opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Identify employment barriers and deliver job‑readiness training, résumé writing and interview preparation.
- Gather and share labour‑market information on job openings, skill requirements and occupational trends.
- Provide consulting services to community groups, agencies and businesses on career planning.
- Coordinate referrals by liaising with partner agencies and identifying additional support services.
Required profile
- College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 years) in applied psychology, social sciences, economics or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in community‑service or employment‑agency settings.
- Ability to work under pressure, strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal communication.
