Java Microservices Developer

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Java Microservices Developer to join its team in Mississauga. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders to design, build, and support high‑quality micro‑service applications.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with key stakeholders to gather requirements and define application architecture.
• Create high‑level design artifacts and detailed technical specifications.
• Develop, test, and deliver robust Java code for assigned modules.
• Lead validation activities for unit, integration, and system testing.
• Support implementation, transition, and warranty phases of the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) or three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education.
• At least 2 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on Java development.
• Located within commuting distance of Mississauga or willing to relocate.
• Authorized to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Java 8, REST, Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Kafka or MQ messaging, OpenShift deployments.
• Spring Security, JPA, XML, XSLT, JAXB, JAXP, MVC, common design patterns.
• Agile/Scrum, Test‑Driven Development.
• API design, DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools.
• Domain‑Driven Design and strong analytical abilities.
