IT Field Service Technician – On‑Call (Hourly)

About the role

Kelly Services is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to provide on‑site hardware, networking and troubleshooting support for a client. The role is sporadic and on‑call, with assignments such as installing access points, replacing switches and performing server‑related tickets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, servers, printers and POS systems.
• Perform hardware installations, network troubleshooting and IMAC (install, move, add, change) projects.
• Execute specific tasks like mounting access points on metal holders, ladder work, and PDU replacement.
• Adhere to Service Level Agreements, maintain accurate service stock levels and provide professional communication.
• Travel to client sites, sometimes staying overnight, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• 1+ years of hardware, networking and troubleshooting experience (in‑field experience a plus).
• Minimum 6 months of proven customer service experience.
• Problem‑solver with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A+ certification or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, personal vehicle, cell phone, laptop and basic tool kit.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑call tickets between 9 am‑5 pm.
