IT Field Service Technician – On‑Call (Gatineau/Ottawa)

About the role

Kelly Services is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to support clients in the Gatineau and Ottawa areas on an on‑call basis. You will perform hardware, networking and troubleshooting tasks at client sites, ensuring workstations and peripherals are correctly installed and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Uninstall existing monitors and install new hub and secondary monitors at 9 workstations.
• Package old monitors for recycling and remove 9 docking stations and power cables for disposal.
• Route all cables through cable trays and verify sit‑stand desks operate without disconnecting patch cables.
• Test all monitors for proper display and complete an inventory Excel sheet with serial numbers.
• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, servers, printers and POS systems.
• Perform hardware installations, network troubleshooting and IMAC (install, move, add, change) projects.
• Adhere to service level agreements, document work and communicate professionally with customers.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience with hardware, networking and troubleshooting in the field.
• Minimum 6 months of proven customer‑service experience.
• A+ certification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Valid driver’s licence, clean driving record and personal vehicle.
• Own cell phone, laptop and basic tool kit; willing to travel and stay overnight if required.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $26‑$29 CAD plus 4 % vacation pay.
