IT Associate Manager – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Huawei Canada’s Quality & Operation Department is seeking an IT Associate Manager on a 12‑month contract to lead regional network and infrastructure projects, ensuring reliable service across the Markham office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and deploy WAN/LAN/Voice solutions, including routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
• Implement and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Web and SQL servers) and related storage systems.
• Manage IT infrastructure including server rooms, structured cabling, UPS, CCTV and door access control systems.
• Oversee service‑provider quotations, bidding, negotiations and supervise engineering work.
• Provide help‑desk support, desktop and printer troubleshooting, and user training on IT platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in IT support or infrastructure management.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver quality solutions.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, WAN technologies (Frame Relay, PPP, MPLS) and LAN protocols (VLAN, STP).
• Hands‑on experience with routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
• Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Web and SQL Server administration.
• Familiarity with structured cabling, UPS, CCTV and door access control systems.
