IT Architect, Architecture & Analytics – Enterprise Analytics

About the role

Saputo is looking for an IT Analytics Architect to join its Data Engineering & Analytics team in Saint-Laurent, reporting to the Senior Director of Data Engineering & Analytics. The role defines scalable, secure and high-performance data architectures for the enterprise data lake hosted on Microsoft Fabric, integrating systems into a unified analytics ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture reviews, define and maintain reference architectures, guardrails, design patterns and data models for the data lake on Microsoft Fabric
• Define data ingestion, transformation and consumption standards (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and review architectural deviations
• Design integration patterns for systems such as Workday, MS Dataverse, Manhattan WMS and SaaS platforms, including batch, streaming and near real-time pipelines
• Lead Microsoft Fabric capabilities (Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehousing, Fabric IQ) and evaluate other platforms such as Databricks and AWS
• Optimize pipelines and storage for performance, cost and scalability, and guide citizen developers on semantic models
• Work with Governance and DevOps on security, lineage and quality, and with stakeholders on data-driven initiatives
• Apply FinOps principles to balance performance, usability and cost

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in data and analytics architecture, data engineering and big data platforms
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data lakes or Lakehouse architectures
• Experience integrating non-ERP systems into a data lake via cloud services
• Experience in large-scale modern data transformations within a CPG company and in cross-functional teams

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or closely related Azure data services
• Data integration patterns (ETL/ELT, APIs, streaming, event-driven)
• Medallion architecture, PySpark, SQL, KQL, DAX, Power Query and semantic models
• Preferred: Azure certifications (AZ-305, DP-700, DP-600), data governance tools, DevOps/DataOps and CI/CD for data pipelines

• Salary of $117,560 to $154,300 depending on experience, education, skills and training
