Investment Associate – Real Estate

About the role

We are looking for a driven Investment Associate to join our Toronto office. This hands‑on position provides high exposure to all phases of real‑estate acquisitions, development, and dispositions across our retail, residential and mixed‑use strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Build complex financial models and perform ad‑hoc analysis using Excel and ARGUS.
• Conduct detailed due diligence on potential acquisitions, including lease and contract review and coordination of consultants.
• Prepare and present internal and external investment memorandums and fundraising packages.
• Collaborate with Leasing, Development, Construction, Property Management, Finance and Capital Formation teams to execute strategic business plans.
• Monitor asset performance against underwriting, track key milestones and prepare regular updates for stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation and review of investor reporting materials.
• Track market trends and recent transactions to provide actionable insights.
• Oversee annual property budgeting and coordinate semi‑annual/annual appraisals.
• Review analyst work products to ensure quality and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Finance or a related field.

• Advanced Excel
• ARGUS (real‑estate financial modeling software)
