Inventory Clerk – Aviation Manufacturing

About the role

The Inventory Clerk will support the aviation manufacturing operation in Yellowknife by maintaining accurate stock records, processing orders and providing on‑site customer service. This position works in a climate‑controlled warehouse environment with occasional exposure to heights, cold and noisy conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the inventory control system, verifying stock availability and reconciling physical counts.
• Process purchase orders, international orders and price quotations, and liaise with suppliers and Canada Customs.
• Pick, pack and ship materials, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
• Handle routine clerical duties such as invoicing, filing, and preparing requisition orders.
• Conduct quality control checks and dispose of outdated stock according to procedures.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving or inventory control within an aviation or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, colour discrimination and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication, client‑focused and reliable team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IBM AS/400 and inventory control software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and the broader MS Office suite.
• Experience using spreadsheets for reporting and data analysis.
