Inventory Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to join Crown Auto Group in Winnipeg. The analyst will work closely with our stores to use data‑driven insights for inventory planning, pricing and turnover optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Mine data and develop pricing and inventory strategies across multiple automotive brands to outperform the market.
• Prepare inventory allocation forecasts, place new‑car orders, and align stock with market demand.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on OEM allocation processes, market trends and pricing sweet‑spots.
• Provide weekly reports and guidance to general managers to meet sales, turn‑rate, days‑supply and gross‑profit targets.
• Maintain the inventory pipeline, track deliveries and identify pre‑owned vehicles for the buy list.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a new‑car dealership sales environment (preferred).
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with a data‑first mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a coachable attitude.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and influence team decisions with data.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including macros and model building.
• Experience with AI tools, large language models (LLMs) and AI agents for reporting and forecasting.
