Internal Auditor

About the role

Join Air Canada’s Corporate Audit & Advisory team as an Internal Auditor. You will help safeguard the airline’s governance, risk management and compliance by executing business, operational and compliance audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, test and evaluate financial controls and operational processes.
• Execute and document control design walkthroughs and operating effectiveness tests.
• Update test procedures and leverage data‑analytic tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Draft findings with root‑cause analysis and propose actionable recommendations.
• Provide regular status updates and monitor remediation efforts with management.
• Support additional service lines, including IT audits, risk‑management activities and 52‑109 compliance engagements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Air Canada operations and the airline industry.

Required profile

• University degree in Business or related field, or a college diploma.
• Professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CIA, CISA) is an asset.
• 1‑3 years of experience in risk management, internal or external audit.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance processes and business acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel nationally and internationally on short notice.
