Intern Researcher - Multimodal Learning

About the role

Huawei Canada’s Noah’s Ark Laboratory is seeking an intern researcher to advance multimodal learning. You will work on cutting‑edge AI projects that combine vision and language, contributing to both academic publications and potential patents.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and develop multimodal representation learning frameworks, including algorithm design, model development, and data processing.
• Enhance existing frameworks by integrating novel solutions.
• Conduct experiments on large‑scale datasets to validate and evaluate proposed ideas.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in multimodal representation learning across industry and academia.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with deep learning architectures, self‑supervised and contrastive learning techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with computer vision and natural language processing projects.
• Experience training and fine‑tuning foundation models for vision‑language downstream tasks.
