Intern Architect / Project Assistant – Public Sector Projects

About the role

This position offers an ambitious Intern Architect the chance to work on a confidential, high‑profile federal government project in Toronto. You will receive direct mentorship from senior architects and project managers while gaining hands‑on experience in project delivery, consultant coordination, and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in delivering a confidential federal government project.
• Coordinate architectural documentation, drawing packages, and project deliverables.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth information flow.
• Assist with RFIs, site instructions, payment documentation, and contract administration.
• Attend project meetings, prepare minutes, and track action items.
• Manage project submissions, approvals, and documentation across all phases.

Required profile

• Degree or Master’s in Architecture.
• Intern Architect status with OAA membership or recent licensure.
• Majority of Canadian Experience (CA) Program / Site Hours already completed.
• 4–8 years of experience in a Canadian architecture firm, preferably on public‑sector projects.
• Strong communication, organization, and consultant‑coordination abilities.
• Eligibility for Government of Canada security clearance (Canadian citizen, no recent travel to excluded countries).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
