Intermediate Safety Coordinator

About the role

This is not a compliance‑check role. Safety at Eagle Builders is about holding the standard every time while earning the trust to influence it. We need a confident, direct professional who can build relationships on the floor and drive real behaviour change.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong, day‑to‑day relationships with crews, supervisors and sub‑trades.
• Be present on the floor, observing, engaging and coaching in real time.
• Provide practical safety guidance when addressing hazards or changing work conditions.
• Address unsafe acts and conditions directly while reinforcing expectations.
• Conduct inspections and follow identified concerns through to resolution.
• Lead incident and near‑miss investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety meetings, orientations and training that are practical and engaging.
• Interpret and apply occupational health and safety legislation, company policies and industry requirements.

• Relationship builder who earns trust and credibility with crews at all levels.
• Confident and approachable, able to step in without creating resistance.
• Influential communicator who can gain buy‑in and drive behaviour change.
• Present and engaged, spending time on the floor rather than behind a desk.
• Observant, proactive and action‑oriented, following issues through to resolution.

Required skills

• Advanced First Aid certification.
• WHMIS knowledge and training‑the‑trainer certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SiteDocs or comparable safety management software.
