Intermediate Architect/Designer (4+ years experience)

About the role

ZO1 Architects is seeking an Intermediate Architect/Designer to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering architectural design for residential, commercial, hospitality and institutional projects across Ontario.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate design concepts through sketches and detailed Revit models.
• Lead façade envelope design, large‑scale urban planning and space‑making studies.
• Produce plan, section and detail drawings that satisfy design briefs, bylaws and Ontario Building Code requirements.
• Coordinate zoning and SPA‑level design, and collaborate with clients, consultants and officials.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional architectural design experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Eligibility for OAA Intern certification.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work independently or within a team.

Required skills

• Proficient in Revit with at least 4 years of hands‑on experience.
• Experience with SketchUp and Navisworks (asset).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and construction detailing.
• Ability to produce quick façade studies and detailed construction drawings.
