Intermediate Applications Software Developer

About the role

This position is for an Intermediate Applications Software Developer based in Canada. You will work on secure, high‑performance software that protects critical communications for organizations worldwide, contributing to core C++ libraries and applications across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core software components for secure communication solutions.
• Build and sustain cross‑platform C++ libraries supporting voice, messaging, contacts, networking, and cryptography.
• Develop backend components for secure desktop applications and ensure portability across Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Address systems‑level challenges such as memory management, ownership, concurrency, performance optimization, and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues using debugging tools, sanitizers, and analytical problem‑solving.
• Maintain high engineering standards through testing, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Support build systems and CI pipelines to guarantee reliable software delivery.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and engineering decisions.

Required profile

• Professional experience developing native applications and systems‑level software.
• Strong C/C++ expertise and solid understanding of computer‑science fundamentals.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
