Intermediate 2D Animator – Onsite

About the role

ICON Creative Studio is seeking an Intermediate 2D Animator to join its Vancouver studio. The animator will bring characters to life on‑site, delivering high‑quality animation that matches the show’s style and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create high‑quality 2D character animation for a variety of shots, including complex interactions and dynamic sequences.
• Maintain consistency with the show’s unique style and ensure scene continuity across sequences.
• Organize files and workflows according to studio standards and meet production deadlines.
• Identify and communicate issues with assets, rigs, or pipelines to leads and supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems and incorporate series‑wide animation notes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in 2D character animation, preferably in a studio or episodic production environment.
• Strong grasp of 2D animation principles such as timing, spacing, posing, and acting.
• Ability to interpret creative direction and series‑wide notes.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Toon Boom Harmony (or comparable industry‑standard 2D animation software).
