Interior Design Project Lead

About the role

The Interior Design Project Lead is a full‑time position at Audax, a luxury architecture, interior design and construction studio in Toronto. The role requires a self‑starter who can collaborate with internal designers and serve affluent homeowners and business clients across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principals and the Director of Interior Design to define project narrative and design direction.
• Manage staff workflow, budgets and schedules to keep projects on track.
• Oversee production of drawings and deliverables from schematic design through construction administration.
• Review all project documents and act as primary liaison with consultants.
• Coordinate with Architecture and Construction departments to ensure seamless integration.
• Provide technical expertise, mentor junior staff and champion Audax’s Human Architecture philosophy.

Required profile

• Degree in Interior Design.
• Minimum 10 years of interior design experience, including luxury residential projects.
• Strong understanding of building systems, detailing and construction methods.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented problem solver with strong time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape.
• Advanced use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
• Hand‑drawing and sketching abilities for design concepts.
• Experience producing high‑quality computer renderings and presentation materials.
