Instructor, Practical Nursing

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Instructor of Practical Nursing to join our faculty. The role involves delivering high‑quality education to nursing students across classroom, laboratory and clinical environments, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach, coach and supervise nursing students in classroom, lab and clinical settings.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in the development, maintenance and revision of the nursing curriculum.
• Engage with program, campus, industry and professional stakeholders, including Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
• Travel as required to support teaching and program activities.

Required profile

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
• Minimum two years recent and relevant clinical or teaching experience in medical‑surgical nursing.
• Current TLR certificate (participant level).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving and instructional abilities.
• Ability to apply theory, practices and principles of medical‑surgical, pediatric‑obstetrical nursing and adult education.
• Proficiency in small‑group facilitation, modeling and teaching interactions.
• Capability to arrange, maintain and evaluate educational resources.
• Commitment to valuing diversity.
