Instructional Assistant – Midwifery Program

About the role

The Instructional Assistant supports faculty, sessional lecturers, teaching assistants and guest lecturers in the Midwifery Bachelor’s degree and the Internationally Educated Midwives Bridging Program at the UBC Vancouver Campus.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating, publishing and updating the academic calendar, including course schedules, teaching timetables, exam timetables and related checklists.
• Manage classroom bookings, AV requirements and the allocation of guest lecturers and exam invigilators.
• Support faculty and instructors with the selection, preparation, and delivery of course materials such as syllabi and evaluation forms.

Required profile

• Experience providing administrative assistance to academic staff.
• Familiarity with university scheduling processes and curriculum documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a health‑education program.
