Inland Delivery Team Coordinator

About the role

The Inland Delivery Team Coordinator is the first point of contact for customers, representing Hapag-Lloyd Canada and ensuring smooth cargo delivery. You will provide high‑quality service, manage cargo release processes, and support customers throughout the import/export journey.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests across multiple channels, meeting daily KPIs.
• Facilitate cargo release, including customs clearance and inspection notifications.
• Prepare accurate documentation, delivery instructions, and execute work orders promptly.
• Coordinate cost‑effective cargo movements to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Create import/export work orders within 24 hours of announcement.
• Track cargo to its destination and ensure prompt delivery.
• Prepare cargo release documentation and provide customers with accurate information.
• Ensure compliance with Hazmat, heavy/overweight, and out‑of‑gauge regulations.
• Verify invoices and work orders, making corrections as needed.
• Evaluate carrier performance and manage transport exceptions.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English; French required for local communication.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with professional communication skills.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to manage expectations and deliver on quality promises.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Preferred experience in logistics or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
