Information Systems Support Technician

About the role

The Information Systems Support Technician provides front‑line technical assistance to UTRCA staff, handling service requests for hardware, software, Microsoft 365 tools, mobile devices, IP voice phones and network connectivity. The role supports users in the office, remotely and in the field, ensuring smooth operation of the organization’s information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT (IS/IM) support, triaging and resolving service requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Support user onboarding, account setup, workstation preparation and field staff connectivity needs.
• Install, configure and maintain hardware, software and approved tools while managing asset inventory and lifecycle tasks.
• Assist with SharePoint and information management, including document organization, permissions and user support.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience providing technical support in a mixed office, remote and field environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows workstations, Microsoft 365 suite and SharePoint.
• Ability to diagnose hardware, software, mobile device and network connectivity issues.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
