Information Services Technician – Permanent (Full‑time)

About the role

The Information Services Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all information services systems within the school board. Working closely with the Information Services Coordinator and school staff, the technician provides reliable technical support and maintains the network, server, and communication resources.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Windows Client, and Office Suite environments.
• Manage mobile devices using Microsoft Intune and deploy endpoints via Azure Endpoint Manager.
• Install, configure, and support networking hardware including LAN cabling, WLAN, switches, and network printers.
• Provide technical support for audio‑visual equipment during school events and meetings.
• Set up, configure, and maintain Apple devices and related software.
• Perform hardware repairs, software installations, and routine system updates.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain inventory of equipment.

Required profile

• Ability to work under strict timelines and pressure.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and teamwork skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated with minimal supervision; physically capable of operating a vehicle safely and holding a valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work overtime and adjust hours for project needs.
