Industrial Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead the design, construction, and operational readiness of our aerospace manufacturing facilities in Calgary. The role focuses on aligning facility infrastructure with production requirements for aircraft components, sub‑assemblies, and final assembly operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and validate manufacturing system layouts for detail parts, sub‑assemblies, aerostructures, and final assembly.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and utilities infrastructure to support tooling, equipment, and material flow.
• Oversee commissioning, handover, and operational readiness of all manufacturing areas.
• Specify production technologies, tooling systems, and automation strategies to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Develop integrated production flow concepts and facility zoning for lean aircraft manufacturing.
• Manage relationships with design firms, contractors, and consultants to ensure safety, compliance, and aerospace standards.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to align manufacturing readiness with supplier and logistics capabilities.
• Establish budgets, schedules, and performance metrics; provide governance reporting, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aerospace or aircraft manufacturing environments.
• Strong background in facility design, infrastructure coordination, and advanced manufacturing implementation.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects from concept to handover.
• Excellent analytical, budgeting, and risk‑management skills.
