In-Store Sales Representative

About the role

The In-Store Sales Representative will be the front‑line contact for customers visiting Linde’s Windsor branch. You will handle walk‑in and telephone orders, provide product advice, and ensure a smooth sales process for gases and welding supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders received in‑store or by phone, including cash, charge and credit‑card transactions.
• Promote and up‑sell gases and welding products to both walk‑in and telephone customers.
• Maintain local inventory, manage branch stock, and handle surplus cylinders and hard goods.
• Complete end‑of‑day, weekly and monthly reporting such as SOX reports and the Big 5 Report.
• Oversee shipping, receiving and branch transfers of customer orders.
• Assist customers with welding applications and product selection to meet their technical needs.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma or equivalent experience in industrial supplies or customer service.
• Proven focus on customer satisfaction and ability to up‑sell effectively.
• Knowledge of the welding industry is preferred.
• Experience working safely in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lb.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
