In-Room Dining Server – Full-Time

About the role

The In‑Room Dining Server delivers food and beverage directly to guests’ rooms, providing a prompt, courteous, and personalized service experience. This full‑time position is based at the Hyatt Regency Toronto and plays a key part in the hotel’s Food & Beverage team.

Key responsibilities

• Take guest orders over the phone, suggest menu items, and enter orders accurately into the system.
• Retrieve meals from the kitchen and beverages from the bar, ensuring compliance with local liquor laws.
• Deliver orders to guest rooms in a timely manner, following quality and presentation standards.
• Contact guests within 30 minutes of delivery to confirm satisfaction.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, carts, and trays; restock supplies and polish cutlery.
• Handle cash, credit‑card pre‑authorisations, and close checks according to hotel procedures.
• Perform regular room‑floor checks to collect used trays and dishes.
• Communicate any issues, incidents, or accidents to management promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of Food & Beverage experience in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong communication skills with guests, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused setting.
• Post‑secondary education in Food & Beverage is preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Smart Serve certification.
• Food Safe certification.
