Import Documentation Representative

About the role

The Client Service Representative – Import Documentation ensures that import shipments move smoothly through customs and reach customers on time. You will combine detailed documentation work with proactive customer communication to deliver a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve customer inquiries related to import shipments, from simple track‑and‑trace requests to urgent destination changes.
• Execute the import documentation protocol, verifying compliance and releasing shipments.
• Coordinate with overseas agencies and internal teams to address changes, issues, and escalations.
• Maintain professional communication across email and telephone channels.
• Track performance against defined KPIs and support internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics or transportation.
• Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English and French.
• Demonstrated commitment to MSC’s core values and customer‑centric approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working with ERP systems (or similar).
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is an asset.
