Immigration Lawyer – Calgary or Vancouver

About the role

Our client, a growing immigration practice with offices in Calgary and Vancouver, is looking for an experienced Immigration Lawyer to join the team. The role will support a diverse caseload of business and family immigration matters, offering flexibility on location within the two cities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise individual and corporate clients on Canadian immigration matters, including work permits, permanent residence, and citizenship.
• Prepare and file immigration applications and represent clients before IRCC and related tribunals.
• Guide employers on foreign‑worker compliance, LMIA processes, and related regulatory requirements.
• Manage a high‑volume caseload with competing deadlines while maintaining quality service.
• Develop and nurture relationships with corporate clients to generate repeat immigration work.

Required profile

• Called to the Bar in Alberta or British Columbia and in good standing.
• 3–8 years of hands‑on immigration law experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and related regulations.
• Excellent client‑facing and communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to handle a deadline‑driven, high‑volume practice.
