Imaging Research Specialist

About the role

The Imaging Research Specialist will lead the technical development of an automated imaging pipeline for the Canadian Registry for Pulmonary Fibrosis (CARE‑PF). This senior, term‑position role is funded by Health Canada and requires immediate expertise in medical imaging data handling, ethics, and research computing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate an automated workflow to retrieve, de‑identify, and securely store CT images from consented registry patients.
• Coordinate with the principal investigator and external partners to ensure milestone‑based funding deliverables are met.
• Maintain compliance with health‑research ethics, privacy regulations, and data security standards.
• Document pipeline architecture, provide training to team members, and troubleshoot technical issues independently.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical imaging research or clinical imaging informatics.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously under tight, milestone‑driven timelines.
• Strong understanding of health‑research ethics, privacy legislation, and secure data handling.
