Human Resources Placement Student

About the role

The Human Resources Placement Student will join the HR team at Kingston Community Health Centres, gaining hands‑on experience across recruitment, compliance and HRIS initiatives. This unpaid placement starts in January 2027 and offers exposure to real‑world HR projects in a community‑focused health setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, policy implementation and staff wellness initiatives.
• Develop and maintain an interview question repository and assist in selection‑process training for hiring managers.
• Contribute to accreditation planning by participating in committee meetings, reviewing compliance documents and updating personnel files.
• Manage employee data in the HRIS, support change‑management strategies, create hiring pools and assist with onboarding processes for student staff.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary Human Resources program.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• General understanding of Kingston Community Health Centres’ programs and services.
• Current satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Persons Check.
