Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

Our client, a respected veterinary and animal healthcare organization, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a fast‑growing team on a 12‑month contract. You will work closely with HR leadership to balance strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day HR support, shaping the employee experience as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management and workplace investigations.
• Support return‑to‑work programs, disability management, WSIB processes and workplace accommodations.
• Develop and enhance HR policies, procedures, onboarding and organization‑wide orientation programs.
• Deliver training and coaching to managers on leadership, employment legislation, employee development and performance conversations.
• Contribute to strategic HR initiatives such as compensation reviews, benefits enhancements and employee engagement programs.
• Assist with HR administration including employment and offer letters, reporting and occasional HRIS/payroll support during the transition to ADP.
• Collaborate with the HR Director and HR Generalist to ensure continuity and build scalable processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years progressive HR experience in an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist role.
• Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching and workplace investigations.
• Proven experience managing return‑to‑work, disability management, WSIB and workplace accommodations.
• Experience delivering manager training and supporting leaders on HR topics.
