About the role
As a Hub Day Package Handler you will work in UPS’s Winnipeg hub, handling inbound and outbound parcels during peak periods. The role is part‑time and involves fast‑paced physical work in a team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Learn and follow UPS package handling methods.
- Load and unload packages from trailers and package cars.
- Scan each package to capture its status.
- Sort packages by postal code.
- Move packages to designated areas.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned in a fast‑paced environment.
Required profile
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg).
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes.
- Flexible availability for shifts up to five days per week, with varying start times.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Package scanning.
- Heavy‑machinery operation (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Sorting packages by postal code.
