HSE Consultant – Exploration Site Safety

About the role

The HSE Consultant will support Exploration operations by delivering Health, Safety, Environment, Risk and Regulatory (SHERR) services. The role involves extensive travel to remote work camps and sites in Northern Saskatchewan, conducting independent field inspections and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑person HSE inspections of active exploration sites and temporary work camps.
• Work in pairs with a secondary consultant when required and travel to sites via gravel roads, snowmobiles, ATVs or helicopters.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, checklists and corrective‑action recommendations within ten business days.
• Review Integrated Management System documentation and existing orientation/induction training materials.
• Provide recommendations for ISNetworld training content and assist in drafting or revising related materials.
• Support improvement of hazard‑identification methods and the Exploration risk register.
• Develop and deliver training aligned with Orano’s McClean Lake Operation standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting field‑based HSE, SHERR or operational compliance inspections.
• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment and audit processes.
• Experience working in remote, seasonal field environments.
• Knowledge of exploration, mining or industrial work‑camp operations is an asset.
• Excellent report‑writing and facilitation abilities.
