Housekeeping Associate – Part-Time

About the role

The Housekeeping Associate will join the Microtel Inn & Suites team in Oyster Bay, BC, delivering professional cleaning of guest rooms and public areas. This part‑time, permanent position requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, corridors, and storage areas according to checklists and hotel standards.
• Restock guest supplies, amenities, and housekeeping carts, ensuring proper inventory levels.
• Report lost‑and‑found items, maintenance issues, and any defective equipment to the supervisor.
• Handle linen efficiently, keep corridors free of dirty items, and manage laundry carts.
• Follow health‑and‑safety protocols for cleaning agents and equipment usage.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks, dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom sanitation.
• Secure keys and guest rooms, sign equipment in and out each shift.
• Collaborate with team members to manage rush periods and special‑request rooms.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of housekeeping or similar hospitality experience; hotel experience is an asset.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork orientation, and good communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a sense of humour.
