About the role

Fraser Health is seeking qualified physicians to join the Hospital Medicine program at Langley Memorial Hospital. The position focuses on delivering high‑quality inpatient care as the Most Responsible Physician for unattached patients and providing supportive care for selected surgical and specialty cases.

Key responsibilities

• Admit and manage care for unattached patients as the Most Responsible Physician.
• Provide supportive care for selected surgical and specialty medical patients.
• Collaborate daily with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and allied health staff.
• Participate in flexible scheduling options, including rounding lines, admission shifts, overnight shifts, and virtual shifts.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives that have reduced mortality ratios and length of stay.

Required profile

• License or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• CCFP (or equivalent) or FRCP credentials.
• Strong commitment to acute‑care medicine and team‑based practice.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is strongly suggested.
• Hospitalist experience, fellowship training, or membership in professional hospital‑medicine societies is an asset.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
