Hospitalist – Acute Care Physician

About the role

Fraser Health is seeking dedicated physicians to join the Hospital Medicine program at Langley Memorial Hospital. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality inpatient care as the Most Responsible Physician for acute‑care patients, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Admit and manage “unattached” patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP).
• Provide supportive care for selected surgical and specialty medical patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives that have reduced mortality and length of stay.

Required profile

• Medical licensure (or eligibility) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• CCFP or equivalent, or FRCP credentials.
• Hospitalist experience, fellowship, or membership in hospital medicine societies is an asset.
• Commitment to a permanent acute‑care practice and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (strongly suggested).
