About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Home Support Worker to provide personal care and household assistance in the employer’s home in Vancouver. This full‑time, fixed‑term position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a client’s daily life.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist clients with bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing.
• Support regular exercise such as walking.
• Demonstrate infant care techniques to new parents.
• Feed or assist with feeding and prepare nutritious meals.
• Launder clothing and household linens; mend items as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus.
• Provide companionship and personal care.
• Shop for food and household supplies.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and patience.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; focus is on caregiving abilities.
