Home Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Home Support Worker to provide in‑home care for clients in the Toronto area. You will work directly in the client’s residence, delivering personal, medical, and household assistance to enhance their quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including medication administration.
• Assist clients with bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing.
• Support regular exercise routines such as walking.
• Feed or assist with feeding, and prepare nutritious meals and therapeutic menus.
• Launder clothing and linens, mend garments, and perform light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel and move between sitting, standing and walking.
• Reliability, punctuality, honesty, patience, and strong client focus.
• Good judgement, organization, and dependability.
• Experience in home care is an asset but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Basic medication administration.
• Meal planning and preparation for therapeutic diets.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
