Home School Teacher - Calgary

About the role

We are seeking an experienced tutor to support a homeschool family in Southwest Calgary for the upcoming school year, providing academic support aligned with the Alberta curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Alberta curriculum.
• Provide individualized instruction and supplemental assignments to promote greater understanding of material.
• Offer remedial and enrichment support tailored to each student’s learning needs.
• Support Grade 7 students in English Language Arts and Social Studies.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about progress and learning goals.
• Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Teach 4 hours per week on Monday and Tuesday mornings (2 hours each day).

Required profile

• Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
• Experience providing one‑on‑one tutoring.
• Experience teaching at Elementary and Junior High levels.
• Strong knowledge of the Alberta curriculum.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• Available Monday and Tuesday mornings.
• Commit to the full school year, beginning mid‑October.
