Home Child Care Provider

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position is based in the employer’s home in Calgary. The provider will create a safe, nurturing environment for infants and children, supporting their daily routines and development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to child care.
• Bathe, dress, feed, and supervise infants and children.
• Discipline children according to parents’ guidelines.
• Teach personal hygiene, social skills, and organise games and outings.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and manage rest periods.
• Maintain daily activity and health records.
• Transport children to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Ensure a safe, healthy home environment at all times.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma).
• 1 to less than 7 months of child‑care experience.
• Ability to pass criminal record check, drug test and basic security clearance.
• Physically able to handle demanding, repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, patience, honesty and good judgement.
• Flexible schedule with availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends and shifts.
