Home Child Care Provider – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home child care provider to join the Alex Family in Toronto. The role involves caring for a multi‑aged group of children in the family’s residence while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods.
• Supervise and care for children throughout the day.
• Tend to the emotional well‑being of the children.
• Ensure children’s safety during outings and transport.
• Organize age‑appropriate activities and playtime.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Client‑focused, reliable, and patient.
• Good judgement, initiative, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to handle up to 9 kg (20 lb) weight.
• Criminal record check required.
• Experience in child care is an asset.
• Ability to use public transportation.
• Compliance with non‑smoking, scent‑free environment.
