Home Child Care Provider – Full‑time

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Child Care Provider to join a family in Winnipeg on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves caring for infants and children within the employer’s home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for household duties in the parents' absence, including light housekeeping and cleaning.
• Travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping tasks.
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens.
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, following parents' discipline methods.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for the children.
• Organize games, outings, and other activities.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and manage rest periods.
• Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Support the emotional well‑being of the children.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Background checks: Child Abuse Registry, criminal record, drug test, medical exam, and references.
• Ability to handle up to 30 lb (13.5 kg) items.
• Strong client focus, interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, initiative, good judgement, organization, reliability, time‑management, and patience.
