Home Child Care Provider – Full-Time (Term/Contract)

About the role

This position provides in‑home child care for a family in Vancouver on a term or contract basis. The provider will assume full responsibility for the children’s safety, well‑being, and daily routine while supporting household needs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and care for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and discipline according to parents’ guidelines.
• Plan and lead activities such as games, outings, and educational play.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and scent‑free home environment, performing light housekeeping and laundry.
• Shop for food and household supplies.
• Travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
• Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Keep daily records of activities, health information, and personal hygiene instruction.
• Support children’s emotional well‑being and assist with homework.
• Comply with criminal record check requirements and follow safety protocols.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant child‑care experience.
• Ability to work in a non‑smoking, scent‑free household.
• Reliable access to public transportation.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.
• Capability to perform repetitive tasks and light housekeeping.
