Home Child Care Provider – Full-time

About the role

This full‑time position provides in‑home child care for a family in West Vancouver. You will work directly in the employer’s home, supporting the children’s daily routines, development, and well‑being while assisting with household tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Follow parents’ guidance on toilet training and discipline methods.
• Assume full responsibility for household duties in parents’ absence, including light cleaning, laundry, and ironing.
• Shop for food and household supplies as needed.
• Travel with the family, supervising children and helping with housekeeping on trips.
• Prepare, serve, and clean up nutritious meals for infants and children.
• Bathe, dress, and feed children, and prepare them for rest periods.
• Organise games, outings, and educational activities.
• Transport children to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain daily activity and health records, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant child‑care experience.
• Ability to work in a non‑smoking, scent‑free home environment.
• Flexibility, reliability, patience, honesty, and strong time‑management skills.
• Criminal record check clearance.
