Hog Farm Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Hog Farm Supervisor to lead our hog and pig farming operations in Laurel, Ontario. The role involves overseeing animal health, breeding programs, and farm safety while managing a team of workers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct artificial insemination, spraying, shearing, and disinfecting of pens, barns, and poultry houses.
• Diagnose and treat livestock health issues, including clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and medications, and castration.
• Maintain livestock performance, quality control, and production records.
• Develop and enforce farm safety and bio‑security procedures.
• Coordinate, supervise, and train 5‑10 farm workers and harvesting labourers.
• Hire and train staff, manage financial and production records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hog or pig farming.
• Willingness to relocate; relocation costs not covered.
• Ability to work in a rural environment.
