Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join our Edmonton team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy trucks and related attachments, ensuring reliable operation for our waste‑management services.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment and determine required repairs.
• Order parts, manage inventory, and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective components, including welding when necessary.
• Test repaired equipment to verify performance against manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and general maintenance on heavy trucks and attachments.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy‑equipment maintenance or a related trade.
• Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) and handle tools safely.
• Successful criminal record check and drug test.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team‑oriented attitude.
