Health Unit Worker – Office Administration

About the role

Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Health Unit Worker (Office Admin) at Lily's Community Health Centre. You will support community health programs by managing supplies, preparing clinic spaces, and providing essential administrative assistance in a client‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain inventories of medical, surgical, biological and harm‑reduction supplies.
• Set up and dismantle clinic areas, clean and disinfect equipment.
• Assemble and prepare educational packages for clients.
• Perform general administrative support tasks as needed.
• Interact respectfully with clients, families and team members.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education.
• At least one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid B.C. driver’s licence; local travel may be required.
• Ability to work effectively with the public and team members.

Required skills

• Knowledge of healthcare equipment.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures.
• Familiarity with health‑care facility and clinic practices.
• Ability to operate related equipment and computer software programs.
• Fast typing ability (approximately 5,000 strokes per hour).
