Health & Safety Onsite Advisor – Windsor

About the role

Black & McDonald Limited is looking for a Health & Safety Onsite Advisor to evaluate and monitor hazards across industrial, commercial and institutional sites in Windsor. The role requires independent inspections of construction and other workplaces to ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements and government legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety and environmental audits.
• Inspect worksites to ensure equipment and materials do not present hazards and comply with policies and legislation.
• Review and complete incident and inspection reports, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Investigate unresolved problems with site supervisors and contractors.
• Provide coaching and safe work practices to supervisory staff.
• Participate in development and implementation of health and safety programs and safe work procedures.
• Deliver training and consultation on health and safety issues to employees.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of HSE experience on construction sites.
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies or equivalent.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal HSE regulations, ESA Code, TSSA Standards and CSA standards.
• Training in fall protection, confined space, electrical awareness, asbestos awareness and first‑aid/CPR is an asset.
• Relevant certifications such as NCSO, CUSP or CRSP are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using HSE databases.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and system schematics.
• Familiarity with ESA Code, TSSA Standards and CSA standards.
